Some wedding days stay with you long after they’re over. Brittney and Colin’s wedding at Carolina Country Weddings was one of those days.
Just weeks before the wedding, Colin experienced a life threatening medical emergency that resulted in a hospital stay. Standing together on a beautiful spring afternoon in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, there was a sense of gratitude woven throughout every part of the day.
For Brittney and Colin, this wasn’t simply a wedding. It was a celebration of faith, family, and the journey that brought them here. Watch the highlight video below to see their story in action.
When Brittney and Colin talked about what they were most excited for, their answer was simple: becoming one family.
Their children played an important role throughout the day, making the celebration feel deeply personal from beginning to end. With around fifty guests, the atmosphere felt intimate, relaxed, and focused on the people who mattered most.
Before the ceremony, the couple shared a private first touch and prayer together. Knowing everything they had overcome in the weeks leading up to the wedding made this one of the most meaningful moments of the day.

The ceremony took place at the Wedding in the Woods ceremony site at Carolina Country Weddings.

Surrounded by towering trees and nature, the setting provided a peaceful backdrop for a ceremony centered on faith and family. One of the most memorable moments came when the wedding rings were passed among family and friends so guests could pray over them before the vows were exchanged.
Combined with personal vows and the involvement of their children throughout the ceremony, every part of the day felt intentional and authentic.

After the ceremony, guests gathered at Fern Hall and the Garden Patio for a celebration that perfectly reflected Brittney and Colin’s vision for the day.

Children laughed and played, families connected, and guests enjoyed everything from face painting to a bounce house. The atmosphere felt joyful, relaxed, and centered on spending time with the people who mattered most. Rather than feeling formal, the evening felt like a true celebration of two families coming together as one.
As the night came to a close, Brittney and Colin stepped away for a private dance on the Garden Patio. With the celebration behind them and a new chapter ahead, it was a quiet moment to simply be together and soak in everything the day had been.

Located in Mount Pleasant, just outside Charlotte, Carolina Country Weddings is one of the most unique wedding venues in the area.
